The journey
The classic western crossing. Three days drifting down the Tsiribihina by pirogue, camping on sandbanks, stopping at villages and waterfalls, arriving at Belo sur Tsiribihina by water — my own town, reached the way I know it best. Then on to the Tsingy. There is no signal on the river and no facilities on the banks; most people say it was the part they remember.
